Personal Information

When you contact us:

When you use the contact form on our web site or e-mail us directly, you’re providing us with personal information, such as your e-mail address, your name or other identifying data. We will use this information for the purpose it was collected, such as replying to queries, clarifications, project and service inquiries, follow-up etc.

Your information may be used in analysis or evaluation of our work, service, impact or similar areas to maintain and improve our internal standards.

We will not share your information with any other organisations for marketing, market research or commercial purposes and we do not pass on your details to other web sites. Your data will not be shared unless legally required.

If you contact us using the contact form on our web site, please be aware that we employ reCAPTCHA, a service by Google, which allows us to ensure that our mail form is not abused by automated programs or spam bots. ReCAPTCHA determines whether or not a contact form user is a real human or not, and it does so by collecting hard- and software information and automatically analysing it.

If you do not want this to happen, please contact us directly via e-mail.

Cookies

Like almost all web sites this site uses cookies, which are tiny files a web site asks your browser to store on your computer or mobile device. Cookies can be used in order to collect information about web site traffic, in order to optimise our web presence and services, and to make our web site userfriendly. Cookies cannot harm your computer in any way nor do they give us access to your computer or any identifying data.

Most browsers support cookies, but users can set their browsers to decline them and can delete them whenever they like. Please keep in mind that disabling cookies might affect how this or any other web site looks or functions.

Third party cookies, plugins, embedded media content and social media plugins

We use social media buttons and plugins on this site to allow you to share content in your social media circles. For these to work, the social media sites will set cookies. Biofaction cannot control the cookies produced by these sites, so we advise you to refer to their policies, or contact them directly for information.

The social media plugins we use include:

.) Facebook

.) Twitter

.) LinkedIn

.) Pinterest

.) Google+

Since we also create films, animations and live streams, this site also embeds videos from our YouTube and Vimeo channels. For these embedded videos to work and be playable, YouTube and Vimeo will set cookies and execute scripts, over which we have no control. Some of our work is also sound-based, including podcasts, music, interviews etc. For this service, we rely on specialist platforms, such as our channel on Soundcloud, and embed files from our channel there. Soundcloud sets cookies and executes scripts, in order for the embedded media content to work. Please be aware that we have no control over these.

In order for our site to look and function the same across platforms and devices, our layout relies on script libraries, specifically Google Fonts.

If, as mentioned above, you set your browser to decline any cookies or tell it which specific scripts to allow, no data or information flow will occur apart from the automated analytics by our provider already mentioned under “When you visit our web site“. Please keep in mind, however, that this will affect how our or any other web site looks and functions.
