The Mi-Hy research project and Biofaction are launching MudTronics, a global competition for makers, artists, and scientists to develop innovative microbial fuel cell applications. Turn organic matter like mud and wastewater into electrical energy.
The event encourages interdisciplinary teams to develop prototypes that are playful, critical, and ecologically grounded, with applications in sensing, communication, agriculture, and sustainable technologies.
Selected teams receive starter kits (including materials for building microbial fuel cells) and are supported through online workshops and feedback sessions with Mi-Hy scientists throughout the development phase. Limited travel budget to Paris also available.
