logo berryBACHBERRY is a 3 year project funded by the EC-FP7 and the acronym for  “BACterial Hosts for production of Bioactive phenolics from bERRY fruits”. Started in November 2013 the team of 18 partners from Europe, Russia, Chile and China aim to identify bioactive compounds from different berry species and varieties in order to enable their production in bacterial production strains. Envisoned applications are in the area of food additives and pharmaceutical products. Biofaction is responsible for issues on access and benefit sharing of plant genetic resources, sustainability and governance issues. The third BACHBERRY meeting took place 12-14 November 2014 in Delft, Netherlands.
